Let’s Wrestle/Young Governor - Crushing Nerves/Old Hat
Bought this on Thursday at Picadilly Records, it’s a split between the wonderful (and hilarious) Let’s Wrestle and Young Governor, member of Fucked Up’s solo project. It’s a really good 7”, 309 of 500 apparently, just look at that cover. Awesome.
Onto the music, Crushing Nerves is my favourite mind. It’s the usual self Let’s Wrestle Shtick, fun fuzzy indie rock combined with self deprecating lyrics I really think it’s time I cleaned my life up/Have you seen how bad I’ve messed it up? and hilarious observations that chime with me: I’ve either got crushing nerves/or I’m acting like a perv/Girls I’m sorry but I can’t help it.
Lovely.
