Vinyl (Mon)Day
This haul was the real highlight of my trip to the flea market today. So many record booths with a fairly diverse selection of music. My first stop gave me random ’90s hip-hop/r&b DJ singles that used to have a home at a local bar. My second stop was the back of a Subaru where I hunched over a few crates with some old music nerds. My third was by far the most glamorous (and expensive), but it gave me some REAL gems. SO EXCITED, DUDES. FIFTEEN LPs. CAN’T STOP WON’T STOP.
- The Kinks - Face to Face (UK release)
- Wilson Pickett - The Best Of…
- Dead Kennedys - Fresh Fruit… (I just bought the reissue in April, but this is a pressing straight from the ’80s)
- The Clash - Sandinista!
- Devo - Q: Are We Not Men? A: We Are Devo!
- Sir MixaLot - “Baby Got Back” DJ single (U JELLY?!)
- New Kids on the Block - Hangin’ Tough (Crying.)
- Salt-n-Pepa - “Tramp (Remix)” b/w “Push It”
- Dr. Dre - “(Fuck Wit) Dre Day” single (with “Puffin’ on Blunts and Drankin’ Tanqueray” and “One Eight Seven”)
- The Cure - “Close to Me” single (I just noticed it is warped :( )
- Neil Young - “After the Gold Rush”
- Neil Young - “Harvest”
- Fleetwood Mac - “Rumours”
- Joe Cocker - “With a Little Help From My Friends”
- The Rolling Stones - “Flowers”
